Has anyone else noticed?

    Google doesn't seem to be counting directory submissions as backlinks anymore? It could just be me. But, I even have PR5 paid inclusions that get utterly ignored.

    how do you check, i see some of the dirs with link:domain.com but better to check with webmaster tools.

    I have many sites that are still using links from directories and they still work. They might not be as good as other links but they still count for something.

    I don't think google ignores directory links. May worth less bacause of the high obl, but relevant thanks to the categories.

    It's Useless point from your side. Do you have any proof to prove it. Or just saying with your thoughts or feeling. Perhaps you are right but give us proof to check it.

    Probably a good reason why its a good idea to submit multiple pages in the same directory.

    How did you come to know this ? i think google counts directory links, because my websites have some directory backlinks.
