    I have heard webmasters that they observe PR update on January 20, 2011. Give me confirmation about this.
    As i check my PR 0 blog using prchecker[dot]info, i saw weird thing. My PR 0 is now N/A. What's this?

    They still have the pagerank but they are not updating for the public because they want webmasters to pay more attention to content than on increasing their pr.

    I wish PR would die! I am looking forward to the hoped-for day when Google's algorithm becomes sophisticated enough to actually "understand" the content of web pages and rank keywords according to the sense and meaning and quality of web pages more than the links to that page. I am sick and tired of manipulated search results that are on the first page, but are of very low quality.

    I agree that the relationship remains one of the essential positions. But I will say that PageRank is almost dead. It is a bad measure, at best, because its pretty useless in the best of times. Obsolete after month, frequently updated and with billions of pages online 1-10 does not really measure up. If anything, the complete lack of pagerank be an indication of a problem, but even this could be a little more than an assumption.

    I definitely would not say it's dead.
    Google is thinking of new methods and algorithms, that's for sure, 'cause nowadays everyone can influence the PR (paid links, reviews, etc.) and I know sites where the owner of it had posted the 95% of the backlinks (still PR4).
    But I think we have to wait years till the change happens (2 years I would say).

    I don't - PR is very small in the big scheme of things (which google themselves admit) and hundreds of thousands of people concentrating highly on PR is really good for me.

    In my opinion PageRank has been close to meaningless for years now.

    I have sites that do very well with very little PageRank and I have other sites with pretty good PageRank that get no love.

    Search rankings are what matters.
