    Yes, it will help if you are realy serious about commenting.It will work when your comment add any value to that information.you should not comment Just to get backlinks because author has right to approve it or delete it.Just leave a honest comment and it will work for you.

    It can be helpful. But there is a huge huge difference between getting a quality backlink and spamming (most blog commenting ends up as spam).

    A lot depends on how and what you comment. If your comment adds any value to the post, then you might have some reputation generated in your favour. In which case, your link stands a chance of getting referrals from the comments page.
    As far as the backlinks are concerned, it really depends on whether or not the comment links are no-follow or do-follow. If latter, you might get a backlink, if the blog is of good quallty.

    Definitely, it is fruitful for websites. But some blog give nofollow link, it is not so good for website backlink. So try to get dofollow link from authentic comments.

    Commenting can be helpful - especially if you are writing *real* comments. If you're just spamming some nonsense then most real sites will just click the "spam" button and you've just wasted your time (and their time to boot!)

    Generally I think commenting is most effective in niches where there is a "community" ... and with links back to a real blog with real info.

    Frankly speaking blog commenting is any good as it helps to increase the number of backlinks coming to your main website. However if you do post a comment on a related blog, then maybe others who prefer your advice might decide to visit a website. Think about it is to do the same with digital point as well? When you see someone else's forum post that is really like, you are more inclined to visit his homepage

    Blog commenting is a effective way to get direct traffic from visitors. Commenting on a dofollow blog offers a lot of SEO benefits but it is quite time consuming.

    I have seen many commenter use their keyword in the name. This works as anchor text as the name contains the link in blog comments. So do you think it's legal? Looks gray/black to me.
