"Best" is going to depend on what features you want CMS to have. I recommend you to review the Features that each free ecommerce CMS has and then base your decision upon these features. Lastly another important factor which will determine which free ecommerce CMS solution you'll eventually go with will be dependent upon how much customization you plan on having completed either yourself (if you possess the experience) or an experience programmer which you'll have to hire to handle customizations for you.

The website you list, looks like some poorly executed shopping cart script, but that is just my opinion!

@leenkzmike, Agreed with you, the website address shared by OP, isn't looking any good. Very un-aesthetic design without any proper demarkation between two product.

I would vote for mgento if you are looking for open source

if you would like something very easy to manage and pay every month then shopify is really cool superb easy to manage.

@OP how big an ecommerce project are you wanting to do - for some people simply copying and pasting paypal buttons work! lol getting more information about what you are trying to do will overall help us give you a better answer - the best eCommerce script that i can think of is probably out of your budget and total overkill for what you need

    hope that makes sense

    hi, My preference is magento..

Magento’s flexibility allows us to modify existing features or add in new ones. Drupal now has an extension for Magento which helps integration of Magento into a Drupal based website. If you are converting from another platform, there are tools which allows you to import products, customers and order information from other carts such as OSCommerce and X-Cart.

Magento has a growing community of developers who continue to report problems, provide suggestions and share. Many write open source extensions that add to the features. Varien, Magento’s creator has provided a roadmap which helps users upgrade their sites more easily.

    thanks..

It really comes down to personal preference. In my opinion I love using Open Cart. It's open source, easy to use and looks reasonably good on the eye. I've tried many different carts such as Magento, Cubecart, OSCommerce and more but I just love how easy opencart is and it's also worth mentioning you can edit templates with ease, unlike many of the others so this makes it easy to give your shop a fresh new look.

The WordPress E-commerce is horrible actually. I've used it for a client and it was the worst experience ever. There are many functionality errors and even if you pay for the Gold Cart version of it - there are still many many issues and bugs! Just run a search on Google and you'll know what I mean.

Magento, ZenCart and VirtueMart are probably the best 3 options.

My favourites are Magento and Opencart. I prefer Magento, but it is very server hungry and needs good quality hosting.
