True. We won't have any land left for walking at the rate people are getting married & making babies. China has 1-child policy since more than 2 decades I guess and our policy makers, well busy making their own babies.

Pranab Da had to take out his frustration of insult from Apex Court for black money issue this way.

This is not going to stop Swiss bank deposits of corrupt politicians and bureaucrats but this will ruin the Netizens of India who make their bread and butter by ruining their life 24x7. It's highly inefficient move of the RBI in pressure of FAILED UPA Govt, I am sure this is the last term of UPA with so many of concurrent issues for at least next 25 years.

Yea man. And what meager income do we have? 500 dollars, 1000 dollars, 5000 dollars max a month? If you add up every Indian freelancer's income even that will be much less than what one politician would have in his Swiss bank account.

 

It's tough to do business in our own country. Capping of money is not a solution if you want transparency.

You enforce IEC, enforce tax registrations, enforce audits - they are going to make it work, not preventing someone to pay and get paid.

 

This is a real mess guys...

This $500 cap is really a set back for so many Indian entrepreneurs who rely almost completely on PayPal as the mode of payment from International clients. The most hit because of this change will be bloggers who provide online services and receive payments via PayPal.

I think one should go on with some other alternatives now…

 

We already have our PAN card's linked with our paypal accounts and we can be caught if we do any sort of Fraud.

 

I think we can receive larger amounts with multiple payments . 500$ cap is not much of a issue ,its the sending money option .

 

These policy makers need to understand this: nanga nahayega kya aaur nichodega kya. We are really the bottom feeders in terms of income, and moreover we are not doing anything illegal. There are people who're sitting on piles of money & nobody touches them.

 

I see some of you clowns gave me a neg rep, for expressing my opinion on why paypal is so strict on Indian users... Guess some of you clowns don't like hearing the truth about the fraud rate in India... Keep sticking you heads in the sand, and you might find yourselves without being able to use paypal, period.

Instead of addressing the problem, some of you clowns want to cry and moan about paypal, when the real problem is the scammers in India, that give good Indian users a bad name... Next time don't be a coward and leave your name when you give someone a neg rep

 

I think this is the effect on indian people for pressurizing the Govt to reveal black money details of the creamy layer....

 

Who said anything about being cheap? I am talking about the scammers from India that ruin it for the rest of the country.... Its scumbags like these, that take out threads like these on a daily basis...

I bet more then half of the paypal accounts from India are throw- aways, just like the Adsense accounts you can buy from india for $5. If you can't take criticism of the high fraud rate by your fellow country men, then you have no business in a forum... Some of you are quick to blame the banks in India or paypal, as if you expect them to eat up all the losses they accumulate from the high fraud rate in India... Instead of trying to place blame, try to push for tougher internet laws in India, so this kind of stuff doesn't happen... You can't ignore the big elephant in the room, and expect payment processing companies to do the same...

Everyone here is crying and moaning about paypals new policy with India, but nobody saying anything about the fraud that caused their change of policy. I wouldn't be surprised if half the people here crying are involved in some kind of internet fraud..

 

its really a shocker.... so guys whats next? can you guys suggest any reliable payment processor other than paypal?

This is a big shock for me.

For me, I will withdraw all my money and stop using Indian Paypal account. I'm having verified US account. So not a big problem for me.
