"Everyone knows that original content will help boost your site/forum" I am starting to think content is king is a myth. I have been posting articles/content/posts on my forum going on six months now, and submit articles here and there, and I have seen almost nothing come of this...I see spiders here and there, but spiders mean almost nothing, and i see a lot of chineese spiders from china, wtf, chineese can not access amercian sites, but anyway... any of you guys get any benefit of posting unique content. I sure feel like i do not.
Yes posting unique content is great if you want repeat visitors. But you need to build backlinks to your site and articles to get ranked higher in google to get the traffic first. I put more focus in backlinks then anything else at first.
True. Original content is important to attract visitors, but you still need to do many other things to make your site popular. Original content doesn't mean all. SEO is a must. BTW, the content should be not only original, but also interesting or instructive.
Unique content is necessary but not a sufficient content for driving traffic. Hmmm may be not even necessary, but in many cases it is. You will need to market your work. And SEO is important Nice matters too. Actually there are too many factors, but unique content is a very good start. I think you should market your site more
I can't see how your having problems then, the keywords your targetting obviously are competitive and your website isn't up to ranking for them, care to share what keywords your trying to rank for? Your website looks like a rip of warrior forum by the way, get a different style and hire some forum posters, that'll help out your website, you need more pages/posts and unique content on your website.
It helps a lot when your website is with unique content. My sites ranks really better when I'm using unique content
that was not my intention. The coder I hired for the theme decided on his own to go rip-off warrior...I can not remove the theme just yet because it is in dispute with the coder. It is very hard to find a trustworthy coder/designer for vb these days.
Unique content makes both ranking the site and retaining visitors easier. If you are having trouble ranking and are using that much unique content then you may be targeting the wrong keywords. My suggestion would be to go back and start over with your keyword research. I know it sounds cliché, but you need to find long tail keywords that get a good amount of searches with not much competition. If you are going after general keywords with lots of competition you are making the job extremely difficult, maybe impossible.
well, maybe what you think is good content is not so good to the public's eyes. you gotta know what the people want. uniqueness can only take you as far as it goes. its knowing what's on demand and offering it is what really pays out.
Hey dude, stop focusing on content and more on SEO techniques. Build backlinks to high authority sites. Build link-wheels. Submit to social networks. Otherwise, you won't rank on the first page unless the competition sucks. Traffic is KING. Content is queen.
Hey I have a "?" as a page ranking but type in a few of my key words and I come up first. My sites content is that much different than anyone else in my industry. I have had the site for under a year and really did not start working on it till about 3 months a go. So I do not understand Google, ranking and all that is beyond my control. I just build real links, ads and spend time not money.
I think that you will get penalized for duplicate content but not necessarily rewarded for unique writing. You will want to make every effort to stay unique to even be considered by Google. If you use scraped or duplicate content make sure that you add a paragraph before and after the body. Spinning the body is also helpful. You will also want to keep an eye on your keyword density. 1-3% should be fine. Make sure that your H1,H2 and H3 tags have your keyword included. Underline and italicize the keywords in the body. Try to do all of this before you submit a sitemap as it is very tough to play catch-up once Google has you cached. After those steps you should focus on your off page linking efforts.
