I have an Iphone4 I like a lot simple easy phone. I have a laptop to do more. Android are a bit more comp. like to us that loosely, but can be more confusing as well. Go play with some at the mall and an Apple store, thats what I did. I pick iphone.

Thanks for the advice, I like the simplicity of the Iphone4 and the beautiful Retina display. But the reason why I prefer Android for now is because it can be do much much more than an iPhone can. Besides, I've always hated the idea of using iTunes to do everything. As much as I love Apple, it's always been very anti-social and a very closed up environment & system. Very user friendly, but also very anti-social.

Got an iphone 2G when it came out, sold it, got various other mobiles during that time, got an iPhone 3G, again it was sold after a couple of months and i got a Google Nexus One!
I did like the potential on the device along with the Android platform but one day i got an iPhone 4 on my hands and immediately sold the Nexus!
Nothing compares with the new iphone, from hardware and software point of view it is perfect! Number one reason that it deserves to take a look on it, is the App Store and now a very good package with a very nice camera, really fast and full featured!

If you want to do more than just play games, make calls and generally use your phone as Apple intended, get an Android phone. Right now the Samsung Galaxy S is a very good choice.

    Hello,

I have used both of them for a while.

I think, according to your needing android might be a good option. You will be able to do everything with an Android that you can do with an iPhone, however, I cannot say the same thing for an iPhone.

hence your needs are more web-specific, I'd say you should consider Android phone, due to built-in Flash support and overall speed.
iPhone is great (especially i4, with the retina display) and does a lot of things (like gaming) much nicer than any other competitor, but not the Web browsing.

You can evaluate iPhone and Android devices from countless angles, but now-a-days Android is getting better and better by introducing different useful functions like Google apps integration, Google voice, its very handy for web browsing. Syncing is very easy and its very customizable

The camera and screen on the Iphone4 is the main reason why I can't decide. The Retina display is simply beautiful! I might just give in and get both, lol. I just don't like carrying two phones. VEry troublesome.

iPhones are easily customizable once it's jailbroken, and jailbreaking is the way to go.

Well...to an extent, I suppose. But as others have pointed out, iPhone apps are far more mature and stable than android...even if they aren't open source.
