    If it takes 1 minute to submit 1 website, it will take a person 33 days, or 794 hours to submit 47k websites...

    If it costs $5/hr to hire a directory submitter, it will cost $3,820 for all the pending listings.

    That's just how much damage an inactive directory can cost.

    Just a thought.

    There are quite a few of these. Choosing directories that are actively adding free submissions is important.

    My directory mostly has 700-1000 pending links but review time is 3-4 days since it has 300-400 submittion daily and for a directory 3-4 days is very very good time

    This is probably , the site of freeinternetwebdirectory.com. This site got 48000 links pending. This site got pr6, that is the reason got many links.

    Thats also how to deal with SPAMMERs who might just need 5 minutes to submit 100 links with auto or semi-auto softwares.:rolleyes:

    Besides I know there is another directory that has 208810 links pending. Still I submitted there -paid the very nominal fee (very very cheap indeed! ) and got approved in 36 hrs.

    Quite gud -- the admin has no time for spammes -- but has the time to review serious submitters.
