Best place to find freelancers

Guys, I used in the past many freelance finders (Guru, Elance, Freelancer.com, RentACoder)... Now I want to use one of them just to escrow funds for freelancers I find through forums, but forgot which one has the lowest transaction fees.

    Could you please advise?

You might consider odesk. I hired once from odesk, it was a graphic designing job and it gave me a satisfactory result for a satisfactory cost.

    I hire from oDesk.
I like it because I can track my freelancers work through the screenshots on the timelog. I have hired 2 of my long term freelancers there.

+1 for oDesk, i also hired freelancers there and where satisfied with there work, and even more with their billing software. As for oDesk fees it's 10% on each payment you make to contractor.

yes, but Odesk is per hour payment. We pay per completed project only, more like on Guru or Rentacoder.

Odesk is per hour and per fixed payment, you can pay after he or she is finished with the project.

    My options would be:

    1. Odesk
    2. Freelancer.com
    3. eLance.com
    4. Fiverr ( for 5 dollar works)
    5. Dont forget DP itself is a great source

    cheers

I like Odesk, Fiverr and forums. You can set a fixed price in Odesk which is how I like
to do it, because you don't have to worry if they are working or not. I just give them a
deadline to see if they meet it.

Also I stop giving money upfront because it helps weed out a lot of people that say they can do the work.

And if you want to see if they're reading your job description...put a secret word in bold in the body of the description and ask them to mention it in their email. You'll be amazed at how many people will ignore your instructions.

Odesk and Elance are my favorites, but I've had some luck with scriptlance.com in the past. There are a lot of low quality people on scriptlance though, so be careful. You can find some insane deals though, so it's give and take.
