Old directories

    Hi,

I am preparing a list of the directories that are in existence for more than 2~3 years (not merely by domain registration). They could be general, niche, paid or free. I believe its more effective to get listed in older directories.

Please help and owners feel free to mention their old beauties.;)

    Thanks in advance...

nowadays almost all of spam type of web directories only exist one year since the domain registration is expired.

Submissions to the list should be made via private message if there isn't a form to submit your directories.

Why older directories? We have more directories than we have people to look after them but we keep renewing the domains. We keep the sites alive as there is perceived value in an older domain. Is there more to it? Does Google add more weight to links from older domains?

Some good regional (state) directories i know of are FloridaNetlink and Calif. They've been around a long time and have decent PR, but your company has to reside in those states. Other regional ones are around. Search for the state, county, and city + "directory" and you may uncover a few.
