you did not write the theme of bitchpleaz. Yes, domains which match your keyword is the masterkey to gain quick ranking. If you run a website designing company, then select a domain which keeps website design related keyword. For example see some keywords "for sale by owner", & "seo company".

Have you seen the result? :)

It affects a lot. Try your best to include your main keyword in your domain. That's better for seo.

I agree that having the exact keyword you're trying to rank for in the domain name matters a lot in terms of ranking, but it's not the only thing that matters.

Sometimes you're better off with something that's brandable and easy to remember instead of a keyword-stuffed generic domain name, and I think it is especially true if you're trying to build a large, high quality authority site.

And if your concern is about having the slang 'bitch' in your domain name, I don't think it will penalize you - bitchmagazine.org ranks #1 for that term in Google.

Whether it affects or not, it could affect. But as to how much it actually affects? Not as much as how good your content is.

Having the keyword in the domain can help but this should be seen as the 'be all end all'. If you don't have it it doesn't mean you can't outrank an exact match, you may just have to get more higher quality links in order to beat it out. Matt Santi

Yes, keywords contain domain name helps to get ranked fast. i have been seeing many result with keywords rich domain last some years. but personaly i suggest you to do not do it over for example if you are providing kpo services, your domain should be www kpoexpert com then www kpo-services-australia com. Because domain should be user friendly so that people revisit.

Domain name does matter for SEO but it is also a good idea to generalise the domain name so it can contain more relevant and broader keywords you would like to rank for. The main thing you should focus your efforts on is having quality content and receiving plenty of unique one way backlinks.

Having your main keyword in your domain definitely affects your ranking, but please take into the consideration of the information that the other members have mentioned.

It's all well and good having a keyword rich domain but there are many other factors that will ultimately determine the position of your site. You should make sure you have a good internal linking structure, use your main keywords in the H1 tag, your on page seo should be up to scratch and also your off page seo (backlinks). What's more the amount of competition targeting the same keywords as you will also have a big impact.

Failing to do any of these will have an impact of how the search engines rank your site.

    Hope this helps,
    Stephen.

Register a domain name with your keyword in it. You can easily rank higher in search engines if you have a keyword rich domain.
