DMOZ hunters do not need to hunt anything if they are concerned with corruption. All the corrupt Admins, Metas, editalls and editors are well known and there is plenty of proof for their abuse and corruption all over Internet.

The only thing that corrupt "senior" editors are concerned with, is the free passengers on THEIR corruption gravy train. ;)

Discretion is certainly influenced by the quality (or lack of quality) of the submittals in the review pool.

A lot of editors would accept a lot more sites if they were a) good quality and b) followed the submittal guidelines somewhat.

Here's a great idea for directories in general: Build a program to automatically delete submittals with obviously spammy titles or descriptions. If all the submittals with keyword-laden titles were removed immediately (or not accepted!) then there would be a far smaller pool of submittals in all categories for willing editors to review. The current pool of submitted sites is so polluted with trashy submittals, it's not easy to pick out the good stuff. Good submittals get overlooked in the muddle of junk.

And I'm still trying to figure out how all those senior editors are making big bucks out of scamming the system, while I'm slogging along without even 1 puny offer of payola. All I get are occasional emails begging for a review, but no offers - doesn't that suck pondwater!? :D

I got a few sites listed there but see no point of paying them they got too much on their hands...plus attitude.
