    There are 2 types of sitemaps as HTML & XML sitemap.

    HTML sitemap helps visitors to understand the navigation of the website & XML sitemap helps crawler to crawl the site

    Sitemap is most important for website because when the spider crawler come, when u add sitemap then spider crawler you r all pages by the sitemap easily.

    Always use a html sitemap instead of as they can be used both by Google's crawlers and by site visitors. Xml maps should be used only if you have a site which is continually updated.

    without site maps also your pages get indexed in google, but with site maps it will be more better. So having a site map will give you more advantages, go for it

    No, you don't need a sitemap.

    You need inbound links to rank for anything that gets traffic in 2011. Inbound links will get Googlebot to your page.

    Sitemaps are good for showing Googlebot the pages on your site that don't have lots of links pointing to them. But since these pages don't have enough links to rank for anything, why would you even care if they are in the index?
