www.aussietravellersforum.com.au is seeking expressions of interest for a sale (full or partial).

Current traffic is about 2k UV pm and growing. No 1 Google.com.au ranking for 3 major keywords.

To make it clear im just taking expressions of interest.

Currently making about $10pm in adsense and about $25pm through private/non-adsense advertising. So based on that minus costs i would expect at least $1500 at a conservative PE ratio of 5

Considering the facts, you are expecting a huge amount.

1. Being .com.au you will need an Australian Taxation Business Number (ABN) to purchase the domain
2. $35 to $1500 dosent work
3. I believe there will be a fee of $100-$250 to transfer the domain name......though you may wish to confirm this.

I have an interest but very dependent upon the price. Probably $200-$250US.

 

wow not a lot of finance knowledge here then. (PM stands for per month for anyone who doesnt know)

$35pm is $420 per year. Most private businesses sell at a price to earnings ratio of about 3 - 10 times profit depending on a number of factors. My only cost is $120 pa hosting so this leaves $300 pa profit. Hence mulitply this by 5 and you get $1500. Anything below that is simply bad business practice.

What people are currently offering is about 6 months worth of profit. Find me any other investment where you can double your money in a year with virtually no work and i'll buy it too

You're expecting WAAAAAAAAAAAAY too much for a forum that makes $35 and has very little posting traffic.

 

The reason i wanted was to advertise my company on there but better to pay $1500 on google and get tons of biz.
