    Hello designers,

    I am a logo designer and doing this service for more than 2 years. I have designed more than 750 logos in these 2 years.

    I have not done any course on designing and just designing on my own. Just by learning tutorials, I learned photoshop and started using that to make logo's.

    I use a standard procedure for designing a logo for my client.

    1) read the brief
    2) draw concepts on my sketchbook
    3) convert it into logo in photoshop

    I am happy to say that I earn around 10- 20$ per day. But I feel that this is very low.

    I have even tried partnership but that too failed. None of the designer were promising and effective.

    It will be great if I would get a designer for good partnership..

    And, please do direct me what should I do next? Is there any way that I can earn well and gain rep?

    I saw your portfolio. Its nice work.

    I have a few suggestions for you...

    1. Try to find work offline as well. Online is not the only place you can get work.
    2. Showcase your work on local portfolio sites.
    3. Make design portfolio on many websites like you have on deviantart ... use coroflot.com
    4. Try 99designs.com.. participate in contest.. you never know you might win.
    5. Keep a watch on DP and try and participate in many logo design contest.

    Again I would say you have an impressive work, just showcase it well and try offline as well.

    I am happy you like my designs.. I will definitely showcase my designs in many websites.
    Great idea. Hope that will really work.
    And, I have participated in 99 designs and I make sure that I win atleast a contest in a month ;)
    Do you support the idea of starting a marketplace for logo, business card and brochure?

    There are already lots of marketplace active for the same thing. instead of spending time on setting up one and maintaing it try to make designs..
    Also since you said brochures... can you design websites as well.. if yes then try making some themes for wordpress and other popular CMS...

    Yeah, tried website designing too and that site is live now.
    Will get into wordpress and CMS too.
    Why I thought of marketplace is that I could get a regular flow of income. But, I am half-minded as I can see a lot of marketplaces the complexity to maintain the site.

    This happens with everyone usually if you are into designing. Some time you earn 100 $ + a day and sometimes even none. People try to rip you off by offering only 10-15 $ per logo ? But then you can't help it and have to offer and sell logos for that price to earn something like I do.

    But then this doesn't stop you from hunting more jobs. Try to find some offline work to.

    Try to learn other stuffs like header designing, web designing, Landing pages.

    Try to use freelancing websites (They are tons).

    In the end have PATIENCE :)

    I am into a clear conclusion of being a freelance designer. I love designing a lot and how my work transforms into a logo branding someone!

    And, as Pratik said, I have started posting my designs in online portfolio's.
