It's been fun yahoo

Yahoo for months has been the best, but jsut recently I've seen the plunge. Maybe it's because they is talk about going global or something. Maybe my site just doesn't show the high paying keywords. What ever it is I think I can once again make more with google then YPN. Thanks YPN for the rollercoaster we've been on it's been fun, but I must go back to google.

Yeah some people are still seeing great payouts. I can't get any ads that match the content on my sites though so I don't as many clicks as I should.

I have also seen huge rises and huge falls since mid-summer. The last 4 days I took a huge dip and yesterday was more close to normal. Today seems good as well.

depending on your niche I would advise you not to give up so quickly.

Yeah I've seen the same since the end of summer. The past week though I've been down about 75% of what I was making. I've been wanting to switch back to google just to see what the payouts are like now. I decided to code my site to show google ads and with the change of 1 php vaiable all the ads will switch back to yahoo.

I just read that yahoo search marketing (the advertisers paying us) had a 3-4 day long bug. Exactly how long my huge slump lasted. ;)

I've never had good luck with YPN. Even when everyone was saying it was the best thing since sliced bread, I could never get relevant ads, and hardly anybody clicked on those damn Vonage ads...

Yeah as I was changing the codes on my site I was like if I want to switch back I will have to do this all over again. So I was like I will just do some if else statements with it. Right now it's looking like 10 cents a click with a ctr of about 6%. I worked all the numbers out and I will be making a little more with adsense. If the numbers go the same way they are of course. With adsense though I can put images next to the ads which will increase ctr even more. I will keep you guys posted though.

yahoo is going to be going through a law suit in the next couple of months that might be a sign of yahoo making clicks a lower prices and might start to cheat the publishers to make the advertisiers not sue them!>?

The erratic rise and fall of earnings with both Adsense and YPN is precisely why my sites are now geared towards affiliate sales and CPM banners rather than PPC. CPM banner rates may have bottomed out, but they're still a lot more stable than PPC.

Ive seen a drop in YPN revenue too. Really low paying clicks.. that use to pay a lot. I tried adsense for a few days too but the change wasnt much. I have noticed that theirs a huge delay in earnings updating in yahoo also.

dave - you can use includes to only have to chnage one file to update ad code on all pages. makes life very easy.
