    I'm not sure that google will release one big PR update as they used to earlier.
    It looks like they kind of do it on the fly, and really don't care much about the visual PR bar update.
    And that is a good thing in my opinion.

    I was also like you earlier but now I don't care about PR. The only thing I care is SERP. So keep building back links with relevant Anchor text to get higher position in search engines.

    google update everyday, i check everyday, example my site www.directorypm.com drop from pr6 to pr3,than on 1 month after that back to pr6

    im saying about minor update per site, not MAJOR UPDATE on once to all website

    the last major update is happen more than 6 month, and no more update. i think google will try stop doing major update. maybe they dont like it anymore ;-)
