    The quality of the content needs to be good to keep people around on it. You can try offering prizes to people that are the most active. This will increase the activeness. Maybe, you can offer cash prizes for the top 10-15 posters on the site every month. This will help your site grow because people would be willing to post if they can make money. You would need good moderators though because it could bring a lot of spam type posts.
