If you have a Squidoo lens for which you are trying to increase traffic, consider trying the following tip. Before you begin, go to google.com, click Advanced, and change your settings to display 100 results. Save the settings. 1. Download the SEOQuake plugin for your browser. (www.seoquake.com). It's free, and it is an easy tool to use to get SEO-type info, especially from search engine results. 2. Go to Google and search the following phrase: your niche keyword(s) site:squidoo.com/groups Replace your niche keyword(s) with keywords related to your niche. 3. Click the 'Request Parameters' button that SEOQuake displays above your Google search results. This will fetch the Page Rank, inbound links, etc., for each result. Give this some time to populate. 4. Once done, click the down arrow next to the Google PR indicator at the top of the results. This will sort the Google results, descending, with highest Page Rank results at the top. 5. Scan through the results to find groups that look like they might be relevant to the Lens you are trying to promote. Open them in a new tab, and Join the Group with the relevant lens. Note: some groups require the group-owner to approve each lens. They might reject yours if it's too salesy. But you never know! And many of the lenses AUTOMATICALLY let your Lens in. When your Lens is added to a group, a link is placed on that page to your lens. The link is NOT a NoFollow link...so some PR juice flows from the group page to your page, helping you in the Search Engines. Not to mention the possibility of other members of the group visiting your Lens. Hope this helps! Enjoy!
I also own a number of lenses and I am trying to get ranked for one of my lenses. Thank you for the great tips. I have downloaded the software you suggested. It is great!
thats a pretty good tip, I am just starting to get into squido to promote my sites, I have been using hubpages as my web 2.0 site of choice so far
testing this right now. . it looks like the great idea of this is being squashed by group owners. many are now requiring a link back to their group for approval.
