Many of you have seen my recent thread regarding my near $6,000 in earnings last month with Adsense. Click here for proof of my last month's earnings. From the response, I noticed a lot of people who were discouraged in terms of how much they earned. Well I am making this thread right now in order to show everyone here at DP that it is a long process. In my first month with Adsense I made a mere $25.03! Click here for proof of revenue! What did you make in your first month of Adsense? What was your goal for the following month? My goal was to increase traffic and build quality content, and then to worry about Adsense earnings later.
i have made roughly $110 in my first 6 weeks, although i had a bit of a head start because i already had the domain with ok trafic, i also had large twitter and facebook followings.
I keep forgetting, but I think it took more than a month to get my first click and $0.54. But yes, that was many years ago, and I don't even think Joel Comm had written his book, yet, back then. Today it pays my rent and expenses.
did you guys who have been doing this a while invest your first adsense payments back into SEO or advertising?
I started with a range of around 2-3 websites when I started up adsense, all pretty low traffic blogs, and would say in the first month I was lucky to scrape $20 collectively. @newtoadsense: I reinvested it in my network of sites, have been earmarking at least 50% since for that purpose
No, I started I was a college student, I didn't invest any dollar for my first payment from Adsense. Now, it's different.
I think advertising for small websites cost too much, the traffic you bring in won't give you much, not enough to cover the cost of advertising.
I earned 0.3$ for the first month in 2006. I earned my first check after consistently posting daily for around 2 months, and since then a monthly check came!
