If you look at the homepage of alivedirectory.com, you may reach the same question as me.

All I see is an article link from DirJournal, could just be promoting their article in partnership with Alive?

How can you come to that conclusion just based on the footer link?

Maybe its one kind of advertisement option ? I don't think so that chris (mystikmedia) going to sell alivedirectory.

Or maybe dirjournal acquired by mystikmedia ??

I doubt so, since the Whois is unchanged.

Correct, Alivedirectory is now a property of dirjournal

Just got an email with a submit offer for Alivedirectory, dirtimes and dirjournal.

Awesome. Dirjournal certainly has some great procedures and practices that have led it be consistently successful over time. I remember when we first recognized Dirjournal on phpLD. They have come a long way and continued to perform with lots of hard work I'm sure. I hope the acquisition of Alive will further their business.

Dir Journal has been brought to my attention before. Usually by respected people within the industry. Their listings may be quality, but there is one part of their directory where they have some improving to do --- there is a fair bit of dupe content (not listings) but actual padded content within categories.

That sort of stuff should be cleaned up. To my way of thinking it's almost better to have none of that content, than to have it re-hashed over and over within subcats. It's pretty heavily keyword stuffed, and not exactly a good read. It weakens the directory significantly IMO.

I can only hope the same thing does not occur on Alive Directory, now that it is in new hands.

Good points, silencer. I see this directory as successful as a business, but you make some good points about what is "under the hood".
