This logo contest will be for an HR(human resources) website.
The logo will read DIYHR. This stands for "Do It Yourself Human Resources Department"
The tag line will be "Simple Business Protection"
The color scheme will consist of sage green and maroon.
The symbol next to DIYHR is completely up to you. Simple, Bold, and Professional is what we are going for.

The images must be scalable. PNG and PSD.

The winner to be picked by my client Wednesday Jan 19 at 12 noon PST.

Feedback will be provided if you post the images to this thread.

Good Luck and have fun! :D

PSD's aren't scalable - they are Bitmap images. You need Vector (AI or EPS )

This is what I received from my client for feedback...

Alincatalin: Bold lettering is good. Colors are kind of weak. Depth in badge is good. So so overall.

Delusionweb: Weak symbol. Weak lettering. No.

Belugafish: So so. Would rather have something gender-neutral. Possible the figure facing the letters rather than away. Feels like he’s shielding himself from the business.

Dante777: Let’s try to work this one a little. I don’t know if the Y is supposed to be a tie or what, but it appeals to me. Make the red noticeably darker and condense the spacing between the lettering and condense the spacing with the symbol. Try putting the tag line smaller and closer to the big lettering and to the right of the bottom of the Y. But this one is good.

Jardo: Girly. Umbrella suggests you don’t need HR all the time. No.

Logohits: Girly and looks like a prescription med. It’s pretty, but I don’t think it captures what I am looking for.

    Misterbadz: Same as Jardo.

Khnfrhn: This is unique – a stethoscope? A tooth? So so overall.

Renderwork: Not sure how I feel about it. Kinda basic.

Delusionweb: Don’t like the gender identification. The letters are too weak – need more substance feeling.

Putt: Like the “samurai” feel of the arms. Grey seems kind of weak. Condense the lettering maybe?

Angelart: No – looks like a Xerox commercial.

Nidhi1100: Misspelled. So so. Not wow.

Ideosmil: Lets work with this one. People are good and it is not gender specific. So far tied for first place with Dante 777. It needs a little more but I am not sure what. Color?

I have another concern. Everyone I have discussed this picture with does not know what the DIY stands for – these are just my friends and family. But I am wondering if that will throw others off. I am wondering if we should see what Do It Yourself looks like on the logos.

For example, on Ideosmil and Dante 777, I would like to see DO IT YOURSELF in the same size above, with the middle consisting of the shields and a comparatively large HR (both centered) over the SIMPLE BUSINESS PROTECTION. Three lines of lettering. The symbol in the center with HR. Can we give those a try?

Thanks for feedback, the gender identification wasn't the aim in any way.
I saw you like the protection idea, so I tried to incorporate it into my new entry :

I also lost old font, for a new bolder and more expressive one.
