    Hi

I have a keyword, let's say "chocolate" which I want to target. The keyword is showing up in google for www.mysite.com/mainheading/. Question is - should I be satisfied with achieving page one, position two or should I be concerned because I actually want this page to appear on page 1: www.mysite/mainheading/chocolate.html ?

My point is - if I target www.mysite/mainheading/chocolate.html this is a the more relevant page therefore there will be less of a bounce rate and more conversions.

    Any opinions?

    Many thanks for your help

    :)

Well, do you have the SEO experience to rank on the number one page for a keyword like chocolate? If you don't have the experience then you should know that it's going to take a LONG time. It will take years of hard work to rank for that keyword.

As for your question you would want this page: www.mysite/mainheading/chocolate.html on the first page. If I showed up to mysite/mainheading then chances are I would leave in a few seconds if I didn't have the options that I wanted. It's all about conversions. What good is a rank on Google if your website is converting sales.
