I wasn't too sure if article directory will benefit my website with backlinks/ viewers. This is my first time summit 2 of my contents (ard 400 words each) to an article directory (to Articlesbase). I know Articlesbase links are no-follow but i was hoping to get at least 1 or 2 backlinks if anyone would place my article on their website. OR at least 10+ viewers. However, for the last week i only get 2 viewers in total for two articles (i think it was me). My questions are: how do you get people to read your articles on Articlesbase? Should i summit to other article directories? Can you really generate backlinks for article directories? please help.
Reason why you only got 2 views it could be because of competition, to many websites ranking for that same keyword you are, most of the time ezine articles will outrank articlebase. Also how is your tittle? is it catchy? do you think when users see it do they want to click on it to read more? to some testing and change things around and you should see the results.
I get quite a good number of referred traffic from Articlebase, I guess it is the same as any marketing i.e. is your title Interesting etc AIDA (Attention, Interest, Desire, Action) Assume you are doing articles for Ezine 1st? I do 3 uniques, 1 one my site, 1 to Ezine and then 1 to all the article directories etc.
If it's syndicaton you're after, it may be worth submitting to Ezinearticles and Goarticles as well. You can also rewrite the article and use a mass submission service such as Content Crooner, which is the one I use. This will give you lots of backlinks.
