    Im looking for a really good video based course on SEO. Can you guys recommend any course,coaching or program. I want to do SEO as a career.

    Is Terry Kyle's course Backlinks Hydra good for beginners?

    You can learn SEO but for this you need serious efforts. You can find lots of video lessons for SEO from google.

    I wouldn't recommend BL Hydra for beginners. Its for folks who already have an understanding already as well as a bit of money to spend on tools to help them.

    I know you said video, but there is a great book on Amazon for $37 that will give you a solid background - The Art of SEO by Eric Enge, Stephan Spencer, Rand Fishkin, and Jessie Stricchiola

    You won't find a course that tell you more than this, and its all ethical.........

    Especially if the SEO course that you have chosen have utilized various media to deliver its tutorials or lessons. It may include some DVDs with videos showing you the step by step process of optimizing your website. It may include a PowerPoint presentation with the bulleted points to make it a lot easier to learn the process one point at a time. It may also include a whole disc filled with mp3 interviews of the top SEO and Internet marketing gurus. Surely you can learn a lot from these interviews just by listening to themselves. You may also get some print outs that may include other materials not tackled in the videos. Of course all of these are just the media that can be used for any given course.

    Best school is the school of hard knocks. You have to get your hands dirty.

    Being able to talk to random folks on the fly from around the world is quite helpful as well. SEO is not simply hurling links at a problem. You have to be able to develop relationships with people.
