What is the best technique for indexing a new site in google?

I have been using social bookmarking with good success, but I was wondering what everyone else is doing.

 

Pinging and backlinks can do it as well.

Regular pinging of your pages will do. Try to have quality content on your niche too and have more quality backlink.

Add xml site map for your website and submit your site map URL in webmaster tools which helps to fast index your website...
