    I would really like to know when someone gives me negitive reputation. Why not have the authors name attached as well?

    i have recieved a couple negitives that i thought were uncalled for, and it would be nice to know who did it.

    I have seen the function used on many other boards, and i know it works pretty well when you know who gave you what.


    just my thoughts.

    For the most part, people have put their names in my rep points - positive and negative.

    Sure a few get through that are lame (like in response to a sarcastic remark you made thinking it would be funny) or inexplicable. Everyone around here pretty much has a single green mark, so it would only really affect you if you got sent into the red, which would take more than just a few "disapproving" comments.

    I've always thought that anyone that leaves negetive rep and did not leave a name is not worth worring about. The word I'm thinking of is a synonym for cat.

    It doesn't mean anything...

    Don't get me wrong, I hate seeing a little red spot there just as much as everyone else, but for the most part, people are willing to leave a note either way (I do get the odd red from someone who didn't leave a name but it doesn't bother me too much)...

    I think people take the reputation system too seriously. :) I get negative reps too, and even though I could technically look up who did it, I don't.

    I always give out positives and I almost always remember to throw my user ID in there ..just seemed like the thing to do - I don't think others really drop - more interested in negs spreading negs ;)

    Hah - I had one poor soul PM me to beg for a positive before he got banned or whatever...I looked at his posts - "SPAM" - I let him fade into the DP sunset

    I have given VERY few negs. [2 I think - and I should clarlfy now for the record niether of these was for Shawn :D ]
