Could I post adsense ads on MY search engine ?

    Okay,
I have plans to start a new search engine. Problem is, can I put Adsense ads on my own search engine ? I'm asking because Google could consider other SE as competition.
    Thanks,
    Matt

You are developing your own search engine? I would strongly suggest that you switch to other niche as you will not get organic visitor. User will go for Google over your own search engine.

This is just an idea I had. For Yahoo and Google to exist, it had to be created some day. But I will think about your tip, thanks.

You can't use the search ads I think, but no limitation for classic banners...

I think you can use adsense banners, there are certainly several search engine scripts available that feature adsense integration

It's a website like any other so my guess would be yes, you can :) I don't think the big G will consider you as a competitor and ban you ;)

Why not create your own advertising network and not copy off another rival search engine. Yahoo and bing don't use adsense in there search engines.

Better not to use google adsense because they may feel you want to compete with google search engine.

Are you serious? If they feel like he's a competition, they'll just buy his company, that's it. But I really don't think you have even a minimal chance on the search-engine-market.
