I need help marketing but have no money for paid advertising.

I just started working for a friends company and they want me to help get traffic to there site and more fans on facebook,

The Key problem is that the company works with other company's not something people on the street work with. (payment processing for other company's online check21 and Ach payment processing)

I don't know how to get people to like something on facebook they don't use.

 

Create a female facebook profile and tell people you will send them sexy pictures if they like the company.

 

The problem with going about that way can cause a bad reputation.

 

I think you will have to pay to get fans, you can use something like microWorkers.com

Make sure your website is attractive and trendy, try posting you press release on quality websites

Try to search this forum for microworkers.com reviews, I think some members might have tried it out

 

Buy a .info domain name for $2 and get a simple page ranked with a non-competitive keyword that has to do with the company (something people are searching for). Then do a bunch of social bookmarking for the page.
As far as fans go, you can spend $5 on Fiverr and buy fans.
Do article marketing as well.

 

I read a thread on it a lot of people are putting up jobs on there. It kind of cool, I also did a craigslist ad but it didn't help.

Given what your freind's company does (and who thier customer is), I question the need to get facebook fans. Even if they get fans, what good will it do them? THey might be better off with LinkedIn or something else.

Here's an idea for you: create a social networking site for businesses to network with each other. "FaceBusinessBook" or something.

there are many guides for facebook, just search on google. The first thing you need to do is to create sexy female profile.

 

get an hotmail account and add one contact. export that email contact into a spreadsheet. then take any business cards from vendors and employees at partner companies and add them to the spreadsheet.

make a facebook account for the company or for one of or the principles of the company.

use facebooks import feature to import the contact list.

send a page suggestion to all of those contacts.
