Alexa Not Reading Site Correctly - Possible Other Site Errors Too?

Currently, Alexa is not reading my site correctly - that is, it is saying there is 1 backlink to me (there are way more), and it's giving me skewed stats, in many cases, its giving me no stats. This worries me that search engines are not reading my site correctly either. Any thoughts on things I can check/steps I can take?

Thank you for your reply, I've downloaded the toolbar and it's shown me a little bit - not much though. It shows that I do not have a Compete rank at all either. So something has to be wrong if Alexa and Compete are unable to read my page correctly, correct? The site has been fully functional since Feb. of this year, so definitely enough time to gather data. I have a PageRank of 2 and a mozRank 4.73 (according to this toolbar).

Any thoughts?

 

Why are you concerning about alexa rank.. are you planning to sell it ?
Alexa only gives estimated traffic detail, if you compare with your analytic data then there would be good difference in result.

 

I'm not too concerned with where I actually rank on Alexa - I'm just worried that if Alexa and Compete are unable to read my site correctly, then something is wrong and other things (including search engines) may not be reading it correctly either.

 

I am facing the same problem too. How can I get out of this situation? Looking forward to some real assistance.

 

Are you using Google webmaster tool ?If not then verify it and you can get all the error reports there..
