How to check if a link is dofollow or nofollow?

How do you check if a link is dofollow or nofollow? I never took the time to learn.

 

You can download a toolbar to show it i cant remember the link and you can click "view-page source" find the link you wil see if it is nofollow, push ctr+f and serach nofollow

 

You can try a firefox addon "Search Status". This will highlight no follow links.

 

Thanks to you i actually need this was just to lazy to find it

 

You can use Seo Quake toolbar...if its showing red mark on the link this means its no follow otherwise its dofollow

 

Is there any other tools to use? I'm also interested in finding dofollow blogs..

 

Seo Quake shows lists while Search Status shows links on-the-fly.

I would recommend Search Status.

 

You can also try NoDoFollow firefox plugin for check nofollow links.

 

Just search for the "nofollow" tag. If it is not there, then the links are dofollow.

 

Some links can be dofollow when you search, in some forums the signature is nofollow and the text is dofollow

 

You actually need to check for several things:
- "nofollow" attribute in link tag (I believe this is what the plugins check);
- "nofollow" in page meta tags;
- "Disallow" in robots.txt for certain parts of the website;
- link through a redirect script that is disallowed in robots.txt.

Does anyone know about a plugin or other tool that checks for all of this?

 

You can choose to use any of these plugins:

- Affilorama SEO Toolbar (you'll just click the "link" symbol to see link attributes and are highlighted in a color scheme)
- SearchStatus
- NoDoFollow plugin

All are firefox plugins.

 

SEO Quake is a cool tool and it easily displays no follow links. and also many information like page info,page rank,alexa rank,inbound links,total rank,yahoo rank,etc

There is also a Google Chrome add on known as Nofollow.crx it highlights all no follow links with red color

 

you go to webmaster tool and check your backlinks.

 

If you using Mozilla firefox then it is very easy to add No-Dofollow addon,

 

Their is a add-on SEO quake and SEO status to check dofolow and nofollow links.

 

I usually go to page source, (on firefox shortkey is Ctrl+U) and find "nofollow".

see the html code and check for the attribute after the <a href tag that is named follow

 

Install the Firfox Addon "SearchStatus". One you are done with this, right click on the SearchStatus Icon on the status bar of your browser and click on Highlight Nofollow Links. This would show all the Nofollow links surrounded in Pink.
