Tutorial about creating a simple Seo Optimized website (with screen shots)

I have just created a simple tutorial on how to make your own website with Joomla.

The tutorial will cover topics about:
1. Setting up seo friendly url
2. Adding H1 tags to article titles
3. Adding content (text,images and video) to the website.
4. Linking sidebars to content.
5. Creating customized top banner.
6. Creating sitemap (xml and html ) using xmap
7. Installing google analytics to their website.

1.Setting Up Seo Friendly url
In this section, you will learn how to setup your Joomla website so that the url are seo friendly.

2.Adding H1 tags to article titles:
Joomla by default will show your article title with an internal tag namely “componentheading”. This tag is recognizable by Joomla as your article title but unfortunately search engines might not know what “componentheading” means. Hence, we need to use a universally accepted tag known as H1 (heading 1) in your article title.

In this section you will learn how to modify the source code so that H1 tag is included in the every page title of your website.

3. Adding content (text,images and video) to the website.
This section will teach you how to upload text, image and video content to your joomla website.

4. Linking sidebars to content.
For beginners, linking sidebars to the content of your article can be quite confusing. Hence this section is intended to brief on how to do so.

5. Creating customized top banner
To create a customized website, you need to have your own banner. I like the default template (milky way) - its clean and simple but i want my website to have its own personal banner. This section of tutorial will tell you how to modify the css code so that it will show your own banner.

6. Creating sitemap (xml and html ) using xmap
You will learn how to use a xmap (a joomla plugin) to create your own xml and html sitemap. The xml sitemap is for your to submit to major search engines and the html sitemap is for your visitor.

7. Installing google analytics to their website.
You will learn how to install google analytics code to your joomla website. By doing so, you are able to track the visitors of your website.

I'd like to add that one of the most important ways of boosting your website's performance with search engines after SEOing your site's pages would be to create backlinks. The backlinks are preferred more by Google and other search engines if the pages your links are on contain relevant information to your own site.
