I want to register domain with web hosting. I want reliable service. Also my details should not be visible to whoisdomain website.

I found one domain registering service 1and1 website. Is it best ?

Please suggest me best web hosting service

    Avoid 1&1 at all costs.
Won't go into details - but they caused me a lot of hassle years ago - and still haven't repaid money they owe me.
They make it difficult to almost impossible to 'leave' them - instead they disassociated from a number of my domains in such a way that that I then had to pay premium (like 5X the cost!) prices to get them reinstated.

My suggestion is that you do not need to buy domains and hosting from the same company. First year it may be a bit cheaper, but it ties you in to their hosting service which you may well want to change - even if only to upgrade.
I buy my domains (and ONLY domains) from PowerHoster.com - one of a number of GoDaddy providers. Over the years others come out with special offers that undercut them a bit before jumping their prices up. Long term they give excellent service and competitive prices.
Then for hosting, there are so many to choose from - such as justhost.com, hostgator.com etc.

The company I used after 1&1 was http://www.eukhost.com/ they provided great service at a competitive cost for domain + hosting, that was great when I started out.
Just outgrew their service, when I needed to start hosting hundereds of domains.

I use name.com and namecheap mostly. best domain interfaces imo. Don't like godaddy interfaces but they have good pricess and alot of sales. I heard alot of crap about 1&1 so I would avoid it at all cost as stated above.

For domain registration I recommend GoDaddy.com and don't forget to use a coupon to get a discount and for web hosting I recommend Hostgator or Bluehost.

I would suggest you to register a domain to a domain registrar and not to hosting services!
You can have a look at www.OrderDN.com to register a domain name.

    Thank you

What domain extension are you going to register?

There are many Registrars out there and you will have nice opportunity to compare them and choose the best one.

There are too many domain registration companies now in the market.
    Godaday is my favorite.

I've had no problems with namecheap. I can tell you to stay away from GoDaddy, I've had some iffy dealings myself there, as well as hearing quite a handful of horror stories.

If you want only registration without WHOIS protection - Godaddy.
A little more expensive but with free WHOIS protection - Namecheap.

The WHOIS of a domain contains information about the owner of the domain, including contact information (name, telephone, address, email). Using private WHOIS service, this information is hidden and replaced with the WHOIS protection company's contact information and an anonymous email, that forwards to the owners email without actually displaying it.

Namecheap offers this protection for free with the purchase of the domain, it's very reliable and it's one of my favourite two domain registrars (the other is Godaddy for it's cheap prices).
