I am a freelance developer and one of my friends asked me for a quotations to make an e-commerce website.

The website will be implemented in 2 stages.

First to develop a product catalog like http://www.pasabahce.com and then expand it with shopping carts, support, etc..

I don't want to let go of the chance by quoting high and at the same time to quote less not knowing the hidden expenses.

    Please help me with this.

A site like http://www.pasabahce.com wouldn't need a full shopping cart. You could do it with a CMS like wordpress or joomla and then just add a cart for the few product there are. either way you go, unless you are developing all of the content you wouldn't have much in the site other than a custom template. No need to go too high on your quote, but you really need more information than you are giving us here.

There are some cart script out there that is simple and customizable. oscommerce is kinda outdated to me.

I think for site like yours, Joomla and Wordpress seems a little to complicated to you. Too much customization needed.

x-cart.com has really good software we typically develop carts with that software most as it's budget friendly and highly customizable. However if you don't have a budget I recommend magento they have great software.

Check out ezOSC.com it is based off of osCommerce, but with all of the addons that you will want after you install osCommerce. It has like 30-40 different contributions in it already and is much more secure than osCommerce.
