Is 0 Page Rank Directory back link is worth less for Google

hey i have notice from long time that 0 PR directory submission is worth less for all search engine and most of Google because it take long time and its result totally Nil it means now Google not consider to Directory Back links

 

Yes you are right PR 0 sites really worth less specially for Google. I always try to get links from high PR sites more than 2.

 

Link is a link and each links has its own worth in one way or another. I will not decide the value of link based on directory pr but on quality. Some pr 0 directory this day may become a great directory in the future, who knows?

 

You can try to get backlinks from edu ,gov site, even its pr is 0. or high pr site.

 

Yes, it's worth less. But if you can have it easily, why not?

 

totally agreed with Rahul....PR 0 does not make sense to take backlink. What better is... take back link from the page which has PR. if you are looking in directory then post your link always in root category.. most of directories are having Good PR in Root category....

 

Besides several big directories, i haven't submited to those PR-lower-than-5 directories for a long long time.

Right, links from PR 0 or N/A pages would usually need longer time for search engines to pick up. Anyhow, they would be helpful for increasing link popularity purpose.

I have submitted my site to lot of directories including the ones with high PR: Google does not seem to report these links in GWMTs: the only links I see are from quality directories like Yahoo Dir:

 

I have an article directory (see my sign) it's PR0 ..

if you submit an article, it will be indexed in minutes .. and the website is alexa 170k (high traffic website)

you tell me if it's worth submitting or not ..

 

building backlinks is a very long process - you def need to build links from sites that have rank. I read somewhere that 1 PR4 backlink is equivalent to about 10,000 links from a page rank 1

 

I agree with Emma, the rest of you are still caught back in the days when PR meant something. Like almost a year ago. I have two sites proxyfreak .net and .org, submit anything to either of these new 5 month old sites and it is on google within a couple of minutes. Both sites are also ranked on all major keywords as well, between the two sites, 6k a visitors a day.

PR is meaningless and dead.

SERP is where it is at and PR means nothing in regards to how much traffic or how long a site with 0 PR will list your site on google.

So basically, my site proxyfreak.org that has the following displayed on the home page and rolls over the count every day

78289 visits to our proxy list since October 2010.
3446 visits today.

You would not want to put your link on this PR0 site? Others do and get hundreds of visitors a day.

I will admit, PR did mean something a while back.

 

In my view a Link is a Link and there should be a mixture of High and Low PR sites to get backlinks from as it provides a diversified backlinks portfolio for your sites and Google takes it more natural, so never mind to get a backlink from PR0 site.
