Do the visitors to the website all have to have a Alexa toolbar so that traffic will count? I just keep hearing this rummer. Because my rank is 200k and I dough my clients have a Alexa toolbar since over 500 of the employees don't use it. I just what to know how the ranking system works since I'm trying to go below 100k.

I heard the same thing about the toolbar, but i also heard that adding an alexa widget to the site might help on this matter.

I also read like that and it is one of the criteria but not the sole one. Much depends upon the actual traffic to your site.

Yes Alexa uses information it collects from toolbar users to determine a websites popularity. This is one of the reasons Alexa ranking can be so easily manipulated.

Yep, most people say that alexa need the toolbar installed to traffic count. My sites have a good alexa ranking and my clients never used the toolbar.
