I would say this, If you have money to burn, that's fine use google adsense. I know lot's of people just hit those ads for fun and they never buy any things. And i know someone that he had over 300 blogs on diff. Ip address and he has his friends hit those ads, so he can make money. and his been doing this for almost 2 years and makes good money.

I was semi scammed. I was earning a little each month (like $15). Stupid me let it build up in my account so I could get a decent check. After a few months and about $70 earned I had my account canceled on me. We have a college forum set up and also own a business in the college area. At our business we have a computer for students to use while they wait and we have the homepage set as the forum with googleads. Seems people would click sometimes but since it was the same computer they felt I was doing it. I tried to explain but they did not care.

I heard similar kind of stories in many forums, but you can reapply for the account with possible explanation. Or give a fresh try with some other good website

that's strange, as someone suggested those ads may be for charity. But I really don't think they are scams, their reputation is too important for them all around the world, such as big company, they must stick to the rules.

Google don't really banns the account until they find if there's something wrong with it.

What I know is that Google AdSense is very good.
But, my personal experience is not all that good.
They've banned each and every account I made, and I made them at different times using them on different sites having only one active at any given point. Anyway that's not where I want to focus.
OK, they we're right about banning the first one because I was clicking (oops).
But for the other two, they were in legit sites, not violating their TOS, one on a forum I had and another one on my PERSONAL blog.

    What am I doing wrong?

Those clicks are not just validated. Its insane to say google adsense is a scam. How could be a billion dollar company be a scam when millions of people rely their living from adsense alone. That's ridiculous!

They are not a scam.. the difference between a scammer and adsense is the difference between a pickpocket and the tax agency. They both screw you though. Take some lube with you if you are gonna be married to adsense..

if you have a good site, and good traffic, you can make more money selling banners right here on DP. Do you have a high traffic site where I can put up a 728 x 90 banner or a 120 x 600 banner? Let me know, I may buy space from you, and so will a lot of DPers, and chances are it will be better money and REAL money than the pot-head dreams that adsense gives you (they disappear when you wake up!)
