I am launching a brand new product at http://bestcvguide.com. (Affiliate info found at http://bestcvguide.com/affiliates.html) This is the FIRST Cityville guide to be launched on Clickbank or anywhere else, and I'm currently just finishing up the product and all the details. I'll be releasing a major update to the guide in a couple of days which will include numerous strategies, tips and tricks, as well as an even bigger step-by-step walkthrough. There is a tremendous opportunity to get in on this market right now while there is no competition, and make a killing in the next few months. I know you hear this from all vendors so please let me explain and see for yourself. Cityville is Zynga's (the social gaming company) latest Facebook game, and was just released last week. Many of you have heard of Farmville and Frontierville from Zynga, and selling guides for these games was and still is very profitable. The top Farmville guide had a gravity of over 600 in its peak, and Farmville once had over 80,000,000 monthly users. Frontierville also had tens of millions of monthly users. Now, Cityville has just been released and it's already growing faster than any other Zynga game. With the marketing muscle of Zynga and all the in-build viral features of Cityville (it's Zynga's most social game yet and they constantly bug you to invite your friends to play the game), I expect this game to reach tens of millions of monthly players within the coming months. I would not be surprised if it eventually beats Farmville as the most popular Facebook game ever. The game is complex enough for many players to need a simple, inexpensive guide, and many people get totally hooked on these games and are prepared to even spend hundreds on virtual currency. It's easy to see how a membership site showing you how to play will sell very well. CB Affiliates take note .... THIS IS THE NEXT FARMVILLE I am dedicated to making this product a high converting, quality product with low refunds that affiliates will be glad to promote. I'm giving 50% commission on a price of $27, which will add up quickly as it will not be difficult to make several sales a day. I'm also prepared to help each and every affiliate with any questions or help they need - just reply to this thread or email me (it's given on the website).
We may change the commission to 70+ in future. The product has only just been launched. If some competition comes in future that offers 75% with a great sales page I will probably up the commission, and I also want to test some different price points as more sales come in and affiliates start promoting. The most important thing to note now, though, is just how much this market is going to blow up in 2011. You'll be kicking yourself a few months from now if you don't get in on this niche right now.
Just updated the affiliate resources with tips for promoting etc. Please see http://bestcvguide.com/affiliates.html. Product is already selling well (average 6-8 sales/day) just from my own limited traffic.
Some of yesterdays sales attached (have to block out affiliate ID and customer names for privacy reasons). So far, conversions vary significantly depending on the types of traffic affiliates send. Those with targeted traffic (ie., people that play Cityville seriously and are actively looking for a guide) tend to convert very well, as opposed to traffic looking for free cheats and hacks. By the way, I think there is a very good opportunity to promote this via AdWords as right now there is ZERO competition for Cityville and you could get traffic for a very low price per click. I'm even thinking of starting a campaign myself. We have also just released an update to the product (as of December 12th) and we now have an 88 page step-by-step walkthough as well as a tips & strategies guide (21 pages) that goes over some very effective ways to build up a big city. I want this guide to cover every single aspect of Cityville so it's useful for all players regardless of their current level. Compared to the cost Zynga charges for buying cash and coins in Cityville, I think we already have a great value product for $27, so you won't have to worry about high refunds either.
Please add the CB analytics screenshots, not screenshots from yesterday sales, these are worth nothing and prove nothing. We need to see conversion and the refund rate before even thinking of promoting.
Seems like this does have some potential. First thing I would do is move it out of CB. If you do, let me know and I will promote it. Good luck!! Zeek
UPDATE: I have now bumped up the commission for this product from 50% to 75%. Thanks to all who have promoted. So far, I've only had 3 refunds (including one I had to give from a competitor joining), and I strongly believe this is actually a worthwhile product for Cityville players. This product is not just a copy/paste job with no real information. I've released 4 updates already (the last one being on the 17th December) and am still working on adding more and more. The two guides in the members area together make up well over 100 pages of goal walkthroughs and various tips/strategies. Not only that, but I also invite all customers to become a neighbor with me in Cityville, that way they can see I actually play this game and aren't just making stuff up. I encourage all affiliates to have a quick look over the product before promoting (just PM me and I'll setup an account for you). Right now I'm also in the process of narrating a video that goes over my city in the game, once I put this up I expect conversion rates to go up a bit. Attached below is the most recent sales analytics shot. As you can see, earnings per hop vary quite a lot per affiliate. There are a lot of affiliates that send traffic that's looking for cheats/hacks/free stuff which is not going to convert well in this market. Affiliates that focus on TARGETED traffic from serious players looking for a guide, and who write a compelling review do well. Note that these stats are from when we had 50% commission, not 75%
Another update: I just received a trademark complaint from Zynga that the graphics on the salespage were too similar to the official one's, so I'm going to have to give the site a whole new redesign which should be done in a couple of days. Please stay patient till then. I distinctively told my designer not to use graphics too similar to those in Cityville, the guy was just an idiot. I've hired a new designer and the new design should come in very shortly.
Well it still says Initial $/sale: $11.95 | Avg %/sale: 50.0% that i got from clickbank marketplace and here you say u have done it to 75%
The clickbank marketplace updates every 24 hours, it hasn't updated since I made the change. Try looking at it again in another few hours.
UPDATE: Entire sales page has been revamped, with a new video added showing my level 60 city. Conversions for some affiliates are literally 2-3 times higher although not all the data is in yet. We are now the only vendor that actually has video proof of having a large city which makes a big impact.
Looks good, what's your position in this marketplace, as in - in comparison to the other CV guides. What's your average conversion rate at the moment?
