These are my site's daily averages for the past 16 days:

    according to statcounter:
    11,750 unqiues/day
    42,000 pageloads/day

    according to adsense:
    34,384 impressions/day
    $1.12 eCPM/day
    11 clicks/day
    0.03% = CTR

    Breakdown of my site:
It's a vBulletin. Yes, I know blinders are on for message boards. I use an adsense leaderboard in the top right hand side of the forum pages and also another above the forum statistics on each page. Then, I use adsense text links after first posts in threads and another ad network leaderboard after every 10th post. The most I've ever made in one day is $68.00. Specifically from adsense, $60.

So the question of the day is How much should I be making?

At least double what I am now?
    More, but not much more?

...or am I about where I should be?

EDIT: Any critiquing, advice or recommendations for supplementary CPM advertising is much appreciated.

It does sound about right for a forum. Best thing to do would be to expand into something more than just a forum if you can, since you have all these visits to play with anyway.

Being a dickhead for no reason never helped anyone.

Are the Canadians on strike again? Or maybe life there doesn't offer much socially so you act out occasionally due to boredom? Whatever the reasoning, please don't respond to my posts anymore unless you have something to contribute.

What makes you say this and what part specifically could be improved given the statistics?

Considering the average CTR on a site is 3-5%, factor that into your site with 11k visits and your eCPM should be closer to $35.

Not nessecarily what you should be making, since it is a forum, but if you had a higher CTR, which is entirely possible without the forum layout, you could be getting over 3x your current earnings, theoretically.

I've done anything from blending CSS of text links to tweaking ad filters and url channels to improve that CTR. What else can be done? I constantly shop around for more relevant ads and try new things but after all is said and done, CTR remains about the same.

interestingly enough, not only my CTR has improved but also the eCPM (far more than what the CTR boost is worth).

I attribute the boost in both to the 250x250 I placed at the bottom of the forum. That's a freakin' HOT ad. Now if I can write some conditionals (to ensure the ad is on EVERY page) and get it above the fold on the thread pages, it get's even hotter.

You CTR should be higher. I would say 1% to 5% is a good target, but I'm not sure forums ever really do that well with adsense.
