Yes, it does worth it. Today PR0 directories might become PR2 directories after a year. Also usually they approve your submission faster. Just check if their IP doesn't match IP of other directories you already submitted. Several links from same IP is not big deal, but if you will have a lot of backlinks from same IP - then it might raise red flag.

PR0 directories make sense if labor is cheap and you can have a guy working full time at $150 per month ; otherwise it wil be just a waste of your resources.

    Cheers

I can't say about PR 0 directories, but I submit my sites to new directories for sure. Some of them get PR, a part becomes paid directories (where my site got in for free) and many die off. They are still better than submitting to a bunch of PR6+ directories that are never going to approve your link.

I wont bother much if the directories are frequently cached and added to my sites backlinks. The problem with many directories is that they are not even crawled frequently by Google, hence they would be of no use to submitting to those directories.

Any directory with any PR they were "0" one day and if no one send site to that directory, just think..
Our suggestion is that to submit to any directory as long as they don't approve generic medicine type of sites, but don't make payment to the directory if they are not PR 1 or above.

A link is a link, especially if it is free. But do not overlook the quality paid directories which have strength for seo.

It's all about cost benefit, if you can get 10 PR0 backlinks for the same price as 1 PR6, I'd probably go with the PR6, but if you can get 100 PR0 backlinks for the price of 1 PR6, I'd probably go for the 100. Of course by price I mean either what you pay someone else or whatever your own time is worth.

I agree with jitendraag's post. After taking a brief rest from directory submissions about a year ago, I am now once again submitting daily to a few directories, mostly new ones. They are almost always low or zero PR, but jitendraag has listed some appropriate reasons to submit. I also like the fact that, PR or not, by continuing to add directory links to your pages, you have an ongoing opportunity to convince the search engines what your web pages are all about by choosing appropriate keywords for the links' anchor text.

You can manage to add to even PR 0 web directories if you can find it as of good quality. Just browse through some random sites in there to check the quality of submitted sites.

IMO, directories are really not worth the time, effort of $$$. Focus your efforts elsewhere. Google especially doesn't put much stock in directories.

I think it's worth submitting them to PR0 directories. I wouldn't pay money for it, though.
