    Just search for 'public domain images' or 'royalty free images'
    They're not so good as Istockphoto ect but it depends what you want to do...

    Open the images in a text editor after downloading. Often free sites redistribute Getty images (which you will see clearly in notepad) and Getty will make life pretty unpleasant after their bots find you.

    Getty will have all their prices on their site. I'm not saying they are best, just be careful - not all the free sites have distribution rights for the images they supply.

    If you want quality photos its best to Pay for them via sites like iStockPhoto. Unless you're a professional photographer who can take the photos yourself to use for whatever purposes you need them for. iStockPhoto is very inexpensive. It's free to join. You can review their subscription prices here.

    I have used a couple of photos from Dreamstime under the Free Photos section.. quite decent photos although the range is not as many as the paid ones..
