Bing Indexation problems

Discussion in 'Search Engine Optimization' started by mern, Dec 9, 2010.

One of my sites was completely dropped from the Bing index over the weekend. Has anyone else experienced this? Does anyone know why this might have happened or how to solve it? Any ideas appreciated.

    Thanks

Would need more information. If it is a new site it is common to jump in and out of the index.

Keep producing the good quality of contents and improving the backlinks constantly and you'll be fine.

The site is not new at all. It is getting close to 10 years old and there were no changes made to the website. The pages indexed were trending up, until all of a sudden it was just dropped completely. I am thinking that its either just a bug in Bing or that somehow the site was flagged as spam even though nothing has really changed lately. I was just hoping to see if there was any other possibilities for why this happened.

Could be a bug, or something to do with their yahoo/bing integration. I'm betting it will pop back in, especially if it's been in there for that long.

Was it dropped or out of index?
