Wow man they are really coooooool :) I wish i could make something like that.

BTW can i say that the webpage could have been redone too.

Your this coolection of illustrtations are 200 % better than your previous ones, I don't say they were bad but this one looks soo cool and professional. if you could redo your webpage (The one containing your portfolio)............ Its just a suggestion please don't think bad. Specifically speaking i did'nt like the header graphics

Kudos for your work :) Thumbs up to you :)

You should have pm'ed him instead. I am pretty sure he will not look into this thread (it's my thread). it might be possible only if he has a little time to waste and i don't think he has any.

Photoshop and the action scripts does make designing these covers fairly easy.

It's no use. i know he is not inclined. At least he told me to use action scripts. This advice could have been more useful if he told me where to get them

I thought may be you will like to see the final results of "My hardwork" ;). The design is just the result of me playing "with some colours and techniques" :D I hope you like it

Its certainly better than the rest of your works but the line "Discover .." is fading in the background. I think its better if you'll use a font format that would highlight that line because you would want to catch the attention and deliver the message instantly.

    *Chuckles*

I am feeling self hypnotized now. :D I never thought i would make something like this. I know there are still mistakes but still i feel quite accomplished. I will now work only on the proper layout.

hmmmm, Nice work, but as i said i am not happy with the layout and i think the project is now partially shelved as i am finding it difficult to organize time for this "part time work" :)

Your sure did get better over the course of the thread.

I love to see how designers improve with time and practice.

I know I am late but I want to add my two cents to ecover design.

I like your book cover but for future books you might like to try.

Your main text should be highlighted ... some ways to do this are:

    stroke
place a stroke of bright color around the letters to make them pop

    color
highlight one or two words in a different color to make them the focus
like FREE being red to make it pop out

    gradient
the main them can have a light gradient over the text to make it look finished and more the the "regular"

    About the secondary text

A good way to bring smaller text out from the rest and make it readable without distracting from the image on the cover is a layer with a box of color that is not opaque. Bring it down 35 to 60 percent so you can see the image behind but it or you can use the feathering tool to make the images transition easier.

These are things that I wish I had learned the first day I started. And I hope they can help you.
