    Hello
I have been trying to buy a decent site one with good pr a decent alexa ranking and something not related to porn,or gambling. And for months now I have been looking I have found a few decent sites but the prices to buy them have been 5 times higher than I have ever seen on here before.I also notice alot more scamming on here as of late I had 6 pm"s from folks here that got scammed and they warn me to be ultra careful. What's happening?? also it seems when I list what I am looking for I sometimes get no-replies.... why?? I know I have a 0 trader rating but I can prove to any seller that I am very credible as I have done business on scriptlance, elance and ebay ( a recent powerseller there) If anyone has a great website for sale please let me know... below are a few things I am intererested in

    1. a established web directory ( 1 year online minimum)
2, a established member based site (not a forum) 1 yr minimum
3, a established hosting company 1 yr online minimum
4, a established traffic exchange 3 year online minimum
5, a software script sales website or ecommerce business that has been established 3 years minimum
6, a established site that offers seo services, perhaps sales of targeted traffic (only legit, well established sites 3 years online
7, a gaming site one that's well established 3 yrs minimum

My budget really depends on the type of site for sale although I see ridiculous sites on here lately asking for $20,000 dollars and they are brand new NO TRAFFIC OR REVENUE... please send me your sites traffic stats proof of income and I will be glad to reply
    thank you

Sites on DP are usually sold as a cookie cutter or turn-key structure.

well maybe now, but as I remember dp was great at one time for honest webmasters selling legit sites not kind selling junk like ebay... I am sure there has to be a decent site reasonably priced from a responsible dp member.............if so I am here with a few bucks waiting

Good sites come up once in a while. Just have to patient and can't rush into a buy.

think about it, who sales a good site? why would you sale a good site? people are always talking about how dp doesnt have any good sites for sale. wonder why... because people dont sale good sites because they are GOOD! just my 2 cents

My biggest piece of advice: be an agressive buyer. Don't wait for that perfect site to be listed, go find it and buy it.

well, you have to admit that most of the serious buyers are not here also... most buyers only browse for the 'really really' good bargains here.

but that is just my personal opinion... ;)

Not always the best approach. If you be agressive and don't wait and just buy you may over look a few things and end up getting the short end of the deal. But sometimes that method can work very well.

yes, but JUST the time you do that a great site comes along and guess what??? you spent your $$$ on a so-so site!!! I know there are decent sites out there that either the owner has lost interest , gained responsibilities that make it hard to continue or many other reasons people sell decent sites

People with good sites want more than 1 year income price... Some ask 5 years, some 3 years... Maybe they don't like the price model from here .

    Bravo! You are correct.

-Good designers, and 'concepts', get nothing here at DP (only traffic and income are valued)
-Traffic and income can be semi or fully-bogus
-If I try to buy, "Why would someone sell a good or great site?
-If I try to sell, "Why sell a decent site for only ~10 months income??

I'm taking time off to "do what I Love", and will soon be drowning in a world of opportunity. :D

There's also Namepros, and a lot of the DP users are also at NP. I haven't seen many scammy sites at NP, although there has been a glut of arcade sites lately.

I think the best quality sites are on Sitepoint. Digitalpoint has a lot more sites for sale though, but they are usually turnkey or brand new.

I think in general that the quality of sites sold has been dropping - even on Sitepoint. I 'd really like to see a separate category for proxies and Myspace websites to remove the clutter.

    I feel your pain...

The time I used to spend hunting for decent sites to buy is now mainly invested in finding decent coders, writers etc. to build me sites that will be profitable in 6 months time.

My advice to anyone with time to spend would be to DIY. There are very few bargains to be had.

    peace & love - pilks
