How can I increase pageviews on my site?

I have own a wallpaper site and it's doing right around 7k uniques a day on average. I've had the site just sitting there on my domain for a few years and I realized the other day that it's getting quite a bit of traffic. Once I started tracking users though I realized that on average a users only views 1.4 pages.

My goal is to boost that number to at least 2 page views per person. Does anyone have any ideas on how I can do that? Most of the traffic is from google images and I know most people that user google images are only looking to download an image and could care less about the site.

I've owned popular sites in the past, but the traffic was always targeted, this site the traffic is all over the place so it's hard to figure out what to do with it.

Any ideas you guys have will be greatly appreciated

If it is coming from Google images find that frame breaking code that will send them to your actual site after a few seconds. From there make it easy to navigate to similar images so they can browse around before backing up.

Get good content for your website. If your maximum visitors are from Google Images, upload some good information as well as product rating to go along with your images. Target he keywords for your content. Make your website more inviting by adding customer feedback, good pictures and offers, if you do any.

just try to link loads of you images together, saying something like, well if you liked this one in our .... collection then you may also like some of the other wallpapers from our other .... section! If that fails to work then maybe a redesign of the website might do wonders for the average page views of each visitor. Try looking at other sites that are similar to yours and asking yourself, would I want to look at other pages on this site, and how would I get to them. Then try and make your website tick both boxes!

 

Improve content, add more images, make more publicity, join social groups.

 

How is your bounce rate? You already have related wallpapers on your site. Perhaps write some reviews on different blackberry devices with links to them from the images. Problem is most will not be looking for a new device if they are coming from images. Those articles might pull some traffic from other sources. Put the model number right in the title add affiliate links for those models.

The best way to increase traffic, is to link build everyones know it, however is costly and takes time, if you want to increase traffic especially your page views, then buy traffic from Enhance my Chances, (search in Google) you can place the traffic on any page, I know for a fact average page views when you buy web traffic from these guys is around 2-3.
