Is there a value to multiple links from the same site (like this forum)

For example, the link(s) in my signature. Is there a benefit beyond the first post? Is it counted as one link from Digital Point? Or is each posting counted as a link? Am I missing something?

    Thanks!!

Well I honestly don't know much but I do think that they count as seperate backlinks. There has to be some sort of catch however: like all backlinks from one website wouldn't really bring you up as much.

even if you get lots of links from the same domain the value of them will be less than if you got the same amount of links from different domains

I don't think each posting is counted as a link. I mean the links from one domain is not so useful as you thought.

I don't think a link about new homes in a webmaster forum is going to do you much good at all. It is not related to your niche. Your backlinks need to be related to your content.

People coming here are not too likely to be interested in your link so probably not a lot of clicks either.

Google will give you credit for the same link on different pages. I've seen it. I have a link on one site on their home page and Google counts it more than once but it constantly changes, the number and which pages they give credit too. I can't figure out any relationship.

If you post a thousand messages here, you will not get 1000 backlinks.

I think you'd be better off finding something that is related to Internet marketing for this forum.

Hey, Enrico, I looked at your site. The first thing on your site is duplicate content. I don't THINK that's a great idea. Take the info from Wiki and rewrite it and if you want to link back to the wiki page go ahead. But have it open in a new window target="_blank". The first link I see takes me off your page and your visitor will probably never come back.

Yes, it works. However, if you put many links to the same site, some links may not work.

    hi Rusty,
Thank you for sharing your comments.
I saw that the content is from wiki and if it is quoted on the site as from wiki,
wouldn't that be considered as curated content?
A lot of ppl said that curated content is not good bcos it is not unique content
but Hugh Hitchcock manage to use Video Curator Pro to increase his PR from PR 1 to PR 4 in 3 Days Flat!

    in forumspecialoffers dot com.

I didn't buy it bcos it is too good to believe.

A backlink is a bcklink, so each post you make on a forum, is one backlink. However, more important than the backlink is the relevance of the forum/blog you're participating in. Search engines look for relevance and they will give more weight to your backlinks if they are from a site related to your niche. This is regardless if the blog/forum is dofollow or nofollow.

Hope that helps. Have a good day!

Backlink is actually a vote of consent from one web page to another. So generally one backlink from a domain represents one vote from the entire domain. In short, one backlink from a domain is enough.

I will say it depends on how good the backlink site. If the backlink site is strong, sure you will get advantage to have more link from the site. I really happy if I have thousand link from google
