question about website width

    Hi All,

I recently took over the website for my company, which is in horrible disarray. I found this website last week and have been learning a lot reading through these posts.

The first issue I have to deal with is what width to make my re-vamped website. The site is for a campground/RV resort, and a large percentage of our customers are elderly and run a fairly low resolution on their computers, some as low as 600 x 800. I've tried making the site 800 px wide, but it looks tiny on my wide screen monitor with a high resolution.

Can anyone offer some insight on possible solutions? I would be extremely appreciative.

    Thanks

    1. Go for a liquid layout. or
    2. you can set min-width and max-width of the main container.

I dont think there is any solution for that. I had a same problem but finally what we decided was they are the end users and we design everything according to their screen resolution. And just like your case in my screen it was looking like a calculator. So my suggestion is consider your end user's screen and design according to that.
