how to increase your PR in google?

 

Is there a way to increase your PR in MSN or Yahoo? DD

 

Msn and yahoo don't have pr. That is only for Google.

 

In 2008 my website jumped from a 1 to a 5. It had over three thousand backlinks. Two years later dropped to a 1. Double the links and quality. Did Google make a mistake or did I?

 

It depends on several factors such as the domain, its age, changing content and, of course backlinks. But I believe Google could have made the mistake in the first place. I have had lots of page rank drops (and rises) over the years and I have noticed Google will often pick up cases where they have been over-generous with page rank and their crawlers are constantly revising the true rank of sites for their own purposes. The toolbar rank is another thing as well and no doubt you are hoping for a rise of a couple of points like everyone.

The big question is when will the next toolbar page rank update take place?

my website went down from 3 to N/A (since last week). any idea why ? Anyway im now receiving more visitors from google search engine -- funny.

 

I think Google is updating PR for the internal pages of website and it seems only declining PR update for internal pages.

 

I was hoping for a higher increase for my site, but it is what it is I guess.

Absolutely no change for me, i think it is just false positive result you got!!! Hope i am wrong becos we all been waiting for that elusive pr update for very long which has not been happening till now!

I experienced a lot in domains

 

Pr of the site do varies according to the work on that site and it keeps on updating on the monthly basis.

 

Some of my sites updated Yesterday (Minor Update)

 

same here

and I had some updated last month and some others 2 months ago ... I'm starting to get very convined google is no longer doing their update as they used to do; it's not all sites at once anymore

anybody agreeing?

 

I have over 20 sites and none of them have updated in PR. Im not sure what to think. This is strange indeed.

 

Three of my sites went from 0 to 1.
