Hello the best forum around

actually sometimes i get confused seeing guys always talking in male form " using he " all the time to the extent that made me think if there are girls in this place :p

plus, girls get mad when u talk to them in the "male" form

can we have a gender sign in profiles and posts ( topic view ) ?

Why does it matter? What's the benefit of knowing whether it's a boy or girl? I don't see the point - there's no need for such segregation IMO.

If you donate $50 you can change the "Berserker" to whatever you want. Change it to "Boy" or "Girl" and the problem is solved. ;)

I don't really see the point either, this is a business form first and foremost, so it doesn't make a difference if I'm dealing with a male or a female.
It is a bit weird the guys that do use female pics in their avatars though

Yeah...guys using female pictures does create a little bit of confusion if you wanna know who you're talking to..but, IMO, gender shouldn't matter...

In most cases you can tell by their username or how they talk if you really really wanna know.

I doubt the girls that guys have in their avatars sit in front of a computer all day, so its pretty easy to tell.

Same here and furthermore, I don't see the point and I'm tryng to keep myself beyond anyone's expectations.

My username doesn't talk to much about my gender, nor my avatar either.

However I can tell you that my name is Pat... female or male Pat?, who cares about! :D

but the boys with female avatars maybe belong to the transvestites/hermaphrodites you are talking about

my username is " Ba7ebahaa" could you tell what my Gender is ? it's an arabic word btw :p

about knowing from the way of writing, do i have to analyze every member's personality to know if he is a guy or a gal :D

i slide menu saying "Male/Female/NA" will do the trick and it's primer in lots of forums

dunno why some ppl who posted in this topic claim that i'm talking about a strange feature !!

a good reason is to address the posts correctly specially that there are lots of non English names around the forum and the most annoying thing is that i don't want to receive a PM someday from a guy who thinks that i'm a girl and asks for a date :D (kidding :p )

that's what i'm talking about

maybe i should have added a poll, i don't think it's possible now

maybe one of the staff can ?

    choices maybe

    1- Agree
    2- Don't agree
    3- Don't know

i think it's easy to apply technically :)

Actually I think this would be a very unique and interesting feature for DP. :)
Would like to see whose a boy and whose a girl in our selection of users rather than guessing and judging by individuals' usernames.

I vote yes for this suggestion. May I even suggest that we get a geographic icon too next to, above, or below the gender symbol for each user? Would be cool to select a user's nation's flag to represent where we are located, instead of reading the Location text (as many users just put spam in there, anyway).

    :D
