    Hey,

I've employed a SEO on a test site and just wanted someone that knows more than me to have a look around and see what they think to the work. I know we are here to help but I'll pay for someone to analyze what they think if they can provide me with the right info.

I can pass on the URL etc via email

    Thanks

Why don't you post the URL now and everyone can give their most honest opinion about it, where here to help so don't be shy to ask everyone. :)

www.thesolarpanelbuild.com - Just a reminder...forget the content, as that is irrelevant its the on and off site SEO that i'm trying to assess. They have completed 1 month so far. The domain was brand new a few days before they started the work.

The minisite is not bad, and it even looks nice, though I personally find it too obvious that a Wordpress template was used. I just had a quick look at it, but I have a few comments:

    1. Links - very few. Yahoo reports 69, Majestic SEO 2. Build more links, from many different sites.
    2. Change the post category from your WP control panel. Instead of "Uncategorized" use for example "Solar Panel".
    3. Put a title to the category (http://www.thesolarpanelbuild.com/?cat=1). You may have a "duplicate content" here if you do not add additional posts.
    4. If you are not going to post regularly on the home page, convert it to a static page. It smells too much of Wordpress.
    5. Hide your links. It's too obvious that they're affiliate links. Use .htaccess to redirect them (though they're just one)
    6. Make your affiliate links "nofollow". (Currently they're NOT) It should be obvious that you want to keep the link juice, not pass it on!
    7. Highlight your keywords, for example putting them in bold. Don't overdo it.

If they charged you for the SEO, I'm not impressed at all. Alexa rank is still 18.430.814. After one month of work this should be much higher if a professional had taken care of it. I hope they did not charge you a lot.
